Upon your arrival to Delhi airport, you will be welcomed by our official representative who will transfer you to your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle. A full day city tour is ahead of you. Spend your morning visiting the Raj Ghat and studying the excellence of Mughal architecture at Jama Masjid. Drive past Red Fort and the vivid bazaar of Chandini Chowk. In the afternoon, see the famous Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate and Lakshminarayan Temple. Enjoy an informative cooking demo followed by dinner in the evening. Eat what you prepared and interact with an Indian family. Overnight at the hotel.
Start early for your 5-hour drive to ‘the pink city’ Jaipur. Watch the sharp contrast in local culture between Delhi and Jaipur on the way to your hotel. On arrival to your hotel, our representative will help you check in and will leave you to settle in. Your afternoon in free so relax and recuperate. In the evening, you will be escorted to your cooking demo where you will learn to prepare some of the regional delicacies. It will be followed by dinner at Kitchen Kraft Hotel Mansingh.
This day you will immerse yourself in the royal magic of Jaipur and spend the entire day sightseeing. Your morning will be utilized exploring the imposing fortress of Amber Fort where you will reach in style on top of an elephant. Admire the artistic excellence of the Sheesh Mahal. Next you will be taken through the rosy-hued city of Jaipur towards Maharaja’s City Palace and the Observatory. Drive past the Hawa Mahal for an evening of puppet show at Narayan Niwas Palace followed by a luxurious regional dinner.
From the Rajasthani splendor of Jaipur, travel towards the Mughal headquarters, Agra. Enroute, stop at Fatehpur Sikri, a small settlement just 40 kms away from Agra, built by Emperor Akbar in 1569. It was later abandoned after 15 years due to the inadequacy of water. Witness the fine Mughal architecture of Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other beautiful palaces in Fatehpur Sikri. The iconic 16th & 17th century monuments are the epitome of true Mughal art. Continue your travel to Agra where you will be checked in to your hotel.
On your 5th day of your tour, you will be escorted to one of the Seven Wonders of the World – Taj Mahal. You will be provided with a trained guide who will take you around this stunning ivory-white marble mausoleum situated on the banks of River Yamuna. This hauntingly beautiful monument was built between 1631 and 1648 by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Taj Mahal holds the mortal remains of the king and his beloved queen. Later, you will visit the Agra Fort enclosing the Halls of Public and Private audience. Dinner will be at a local restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Check out of your hotel on time. On the final 6th day of your tour, you will drive from Agra to Delhi for your return journey back home. Our representative will make your travel effortless and will be with you every step of the way until the airport. Upon reaching the airport you will board your flight on time and continue your onward journey. You will leave with a better understanding of North Indian cuisine.
