# Day 01 ARRIVE COCHIN

On arrival in Cochin airport, our airport Rep will meet and greet, later transfer to hotel. Overnight stay in hotel.

# Day 02 Cochin city tour

After breakfast, today start your exploration of Fort Cochin and Mattancherry. Follow the footprint left centuries ago by Dutch, Portuguese, British, Arab and Chinese and soak up the cultural atmosphere as you stroll along the quaint narrow lanes of Fort Cochin to visit the Dutch Palace (close on Fridays and national holidays), St Francis Church and India's oldest Jewish Synagogue in Jew Town (close on Fridays, Saturdays, and Jewish holidays). Later head to the harbor where local fishermen use the old Chinese fishing nets introduced and erected centuries ago. Wander through the historic Jewish Synagogue and the vibrant spice markets, alive with colors and fragrances. The Subhash Park is a public park located in the centre of Ernakulam. The park is a green space amid the concrete jungle of Kochi city, and it is popular with both children and adults. The Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica, also known as Kotta Palli or Kottepalli, is located in Fort Kochi, Kochi. It is one of the thirty-four basilicas in India and one of nine in Kerala. This heritage edifice of Kerala is renowned for its Indo-European and Gothic architectural style. Kerala Folklore Museum Kochi is one of those museums that has the power to enamor you just by the sheer range of its art collection. Stepping into this museum is like embarking on a journey through the rich tapestry of Kerala’s folklore, art, and heritage. Final visit the Marine drive to enjoy with scenic views, boat cruises, shopping, and iconic bridges.

# Day 03 Cochin to Alleppey

After breakfast, Morning head to Alleppey, Day cruise on houseboat from Alleppey to Alleppey with Lunch on Houseboat ( No guide at Alleppey) and start an enchanting cruise along the reputed backwater of Kerala; just relax and lay back while you navigate slowly through the tranquil waterways. It is a wonderful opportunity to discover Kerala’s rural lifestyle. You'll see that Kerala is known for its cashew nuts, coir trade, rice, pepper crops & coconuts.

After Day cruise on Houseboat. Transfer to hotel in Alleppey.

# Day 04 Alleppey - Coimbatore via Thrissur

Alleppey to Thrissur (140 kms / 4.30 hrs) – Thrissur to Coimbatore (120 kms / 02.30 Hrs)

After breakfast, Morning drive to Coimbatore by private air-conditioned vehicle, Via Thrissur. ( Note : No guide at Thrissur) Visit Sobha City Mall in Thirussur is a modern mall with a multiplex, food court, game zone, and essential shops. Have lunch in Shopping mall, if you interested, Next visit of Marvel at the architectural blend of Kerala and Dutch styles at Shakthan Thampuran palace in Thrissur. Also known as Vadakkekara palace, it was rebuilt in 1795 by Rama Varma Thampuran.

On arrival check-in hotel and relax your day.

# Day 05 Coimbatore to Ooty

Today morning visit Marudhamalai Temple, the Arulmigu Maruthamalai Subramaniaswamy, is a 12th-century hill temple situated in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. Built by Tamil kings during the Sangam period as indicated in the Purananuru, the temple is dedicated to Murugan, a form of Kartikeyan. Next visit GD Museums is one of the most iconic places in Coimbatore. Roman medication encompasses various treatments, enhancing patient wellness. The Lake, spanning over 65 acres, was originally constructed for fishing. It was later transformed into a tourist park when the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation took over it in 1973. You can enjoy Boating, Horse ride, bicycling and some other activities on your own.

# Day 06 City tour of Ooty

Ooty (Queen of Hill) another name is Udhagamandalam is the headquarters of the Nilgiris district where the two ghats ranges meet. After breakfast visit Karnataka Siri Horticulture Garden The park has very innovative landscaping with a nice mix of pools, a maze and a nice tall overhead bridge offering a spectacular view. Cairn Hills was once a burial site for the tribals. The area had accumulated stone and this made British Christene this place as ‘Cairn’, which means 'a mound of rough stones built as a memorial or landmark, typically on a hilltop'. Another one of the most famous tourist places near Ooty, this Anglican cathedral was sounded in 1829, Also you can visit the botanical Garden Others places to visit are: Thread Garden (Located opposite to Ooty Lake– where around 150 species of plants from around the world are recreated with hand-woven thread, Wenlock Downs (2 kilometers), a popular location for Bollywood films, this vast parkland has horse-riding trails & hillside views , Rose gardens, one of the largest in India. Visit of Wenlock Downs 9th Mile Cinema Shooting Point (lot of Tamil Cinema shooted in this place). Just opposite the Ooty Lake, lies the little Thread Garden of Ooty, full of beautiful artificial flowers. But wait! The flowers aren’t the plastic ones available in your neighbourhood gift shop.

# Day 07 Ootty - day Coonoor excursion

Today Morning experience of The "toy train" ( ONE WAY) in Ooty refers to the Nilgiri Mountain Railway (NMR), a UNESCO World Heritage site offering a scenic journey through tunnels, tea estates, and misty valleys.

The ride is an iconic and delightful way to experience the lush hills and is highly recommended. Train experience from Ooty to Coonoor service. On arrival visit the various spots at Coonoor. One of the top places to visit is Lamb’s Rock in Coonoor. It is located on the slopes of the Nilgiri Hills and has a fascinating view of the Coimbatore Plains. You can also spot the Coonoor stream from close to 5000 feet below. This less explored place in the Ooty tourist places list is a must-visit for all the nature lovers. You could do an afternoon visit to the ever so famous Sim’s Park. This is a botanical garden with over 85 different varieties of roses and many other varieties of beautiful plants and fragrant flowers. Later visit the Tea factory - Coonoor is known for its Nilgiri tea and it is natural that you might want to get up close and personal with the process of its making and tasting. Highfield Tea Estate comes to your rescue here. One of the very few functional Nilgiri tea makers which is open for public visitations, Highfield Tea Estate is just 2 kms northeast of upper Coonoor. With its history that runs into more than half a decade, this tea estate is a heritage site in the hill station. ( Note : Toy train seats depend upon the availability at the time of booking)

# Day 08 Ooty to Madurai

After breakfast check out and proceed to Madurai. Enroute stop for Lunch in Pollachi, after meal visit Thirumoorty Falls and near temples, It is cool place and well known for meditation, waterfalls, temple and dam. The Thirumoorthy temple or the Sri Amanalingeswarar temple is at the foot of the hill adjacent to Thirumoorthy dam. Please note: if you want visit the main Falls 2.5 kms one way need to walk from parking area to Main Falls. Continue to Madurai, On arrival check-in hotel and long drive and relax in hotel.

# Day 09Madurai city tour

Today you will take a city tour of Madurai. You will visit the Meenakshi Amman temple complex. The 14 towers (the highest of which is 52 metres) of the temple complex are completely covered with colourful statues of gods and goddesses, animals and mythical figures. Very special to see! There is a lot to experience in and around the temple. Numerous traders sell their products of local arts and crafts even inside the sanctuary. Another beautiful sight is the 17th century Thirumalai Nayak Palace. A unique building with many columns, arches and domes. You can also visit the Ghandi Memorial Museum where many personal souvenirs of Mahatma Ghandi are displayed. The museum was built with donations from both the poor and rich citizens of the city and is one of the world's peace museums. Visit Madurai famous flower market and fruit market.

In the evening, you will go there again and attend the “god’s sunset ceremony”: Shiva leaves his temple to reach the sanctuary of the goddess Minakshi. The idol, richly adorned, carried by priests in a palanquin is followed by a fervent crowd... Amazing street spectacle that will delight you. Back to hotel and overnight stay in Madurai.

# Day 10 Madurai to Tanjore via Chettinadu

Madurai to Chettinadu (100 kms / 02 Hrs) - Chettinadu to Tanjore (99 kms / 02 Hrs)

After breakfast check-out and drive to Chettinadu, a region renowned for its rich architectural and cultural heritage. On arrival check-in hotel and after fresh up proceed sightseeing of Kanadukathan Palace, a true architectural treasure that reflects the opulence of the Chettiar dynasty. You will have the opportunity to discover its sumptuous facades, its interior courtyards and its finely worked decorative details. After this visit, a pleasant walk through the village awaits you. As you stroll through the peaceful alleys of Chettinadu, you will observe small abandoned palaces, vestiges of a glorious past, which bear witness to the former grandeur of this region. The picturesque charm of the village is also expressed through its traditional weaving workshops where artisans perpetuate ancestral know-how.

Later proceed to Tanjore on arrival check-in hotel and relax your time in hotel. Tanjore, has been under the reign of various dynasties including the Cholas, Pandyas, Nayaks, Vijayanagara Kings and the Marathas, subsequently falling under the rule of the British.

# Day 11 Tanjore city tour

After breakfast visit the Brihadiswana temple. Built at the end of the 10th century, it is one of the most remarkable in the region. Soaring 70m high and topped by an 80-ton dome, it impresses with its architecture that is both massive and refined in its details.

Next visit of Maratha Palace ( Vijay Nagar Fort ) and the gallery of the Chola dynasty, famous for its collection of bronzes of Shiva, Vishnu and Parvati. Sarasvati Mahal Library established in the 16th century, the Sarasvati Mahal is one of the oldest libraries in Asia. It houses a rare collection of palm leaf manuscripts written in Sanskrit, Tamil and other Indian languages. Final visit of Poondi Madha Basilica, The church is dedicated to the Virgin Mary where many people visit seeking blessings and especially healing. The Church was built during the Portuguese colonial rule of India. Overnight at the hotel.

# Day 12 Tanjore to Pondicherry

Today drive to Pondicherry, Enroute visit Darasuram ( 40 kms / 1 hrs. ) the grand Airavastesvara Temple, the temple located in Kumbakonam is a treasure-trove of history, facts and amazing art. The construction of the temple dates back to the 12th century CE and was built by the renowned Chola king Rajaraja Chola II. Architecture, sculptures, paintings, bronze casting – the temple reflects the rich cultural heritage of the Chola dynasty. The temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is named after ‘Airavat’, the majestic white elephant of Lord Indra.

Next visit Gangaikonda Cholapuram the temple( 40 kms. /1 hrs. drive) derives its name from the ancient town it was a part of called Gangaikonda Cholapuram, which was the capital of the Chola dynasty for over 250 years. It is a part of the trip of the ‘Great Living Chola Temples’ along with the Airavastesvara Temple and Brihadeeswara Temple; also listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Continue drive to Pondicherry ( 110 kms. 2 hrs. drive approx..) on arrival check-in Hotel and relax your time on Pondicherry beach.

# Day 13 Pondicherry - Mahabalipuram

After breakfast Pondicherry City Tour.

Pondicherry (or Puducherry), a French colonial settlement in India until 1954, is now a Union Territory town bounded by the southeastern Tamil Nadu state. Its French legacy is preserved in its French Quarter, with tree-lined streets, mustard-colored colonial villas and chic boutiques. afternoon visit Pondicherry sightseeing, Visit to Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Bengali poet and philosopher who founded in 1926 this “ashram” or school advocating a new way of living, seeing the world and approaching the divine. Discovery of Samahdi, cenotaph where Aurobindo's body rests. Walk in Pondicherry, the “White City”, with its districts formerly occupied by the French and its vestiges of colonization such as a sub-prefecture of the tropics, the Post Office, the war memorial of 14-18, the statue of Joan of Arc. Have a visit to "The Church of Sacred Heart" and "Notre dame des Anges", French Colony and Manakula Vinayagar Temple, Promenade Beach and French war Memorial. Have a rest in the hotel.

Continue drive to Mamallapuram ( 60 kms. /1 hrs. 10 min.) , on arrival check-in hotel and relax your time in beach. MAHABALIPURAM is a major historical site dating from the Pallava dynasty (4th-9th century). Famous for its rock carvings and monolithic rathas, it is an example of Pallava art and architecture. The bas-relief of the “Descent of the Ganges” and the shore temple are remarkable elements. Declared a World Heritage Site.

# Day 14 Mahabalipuram to Chennai

After breakfast visit to Mahabalipuram the Pallavas in the 7th century left an astonishing legacy of temples such as the Rathas, masterpieces carved from a block of granite, and the Temple of Discovery of the temples of the 5 Rathas, masterpieces carved from a block of granite, and the Shore Temple, one of the most famous in the country, dedicated to Shiva. Butter Ball, it is also a symbol of the playful nature of the god Krishna and a reminder of the delicate balance between the mortal and the immortal. Arjuna's Penance. Carved on two monolithic rock boulders, this giant open-air rock relief stands tall at 29 metres by 13 meters, depicting the legendary story of the descent of the sacred river Ganges from the heavens to earth, led by the legendary king Bhagiratha.

Afternoon check-out and proceed to Chennai, on arrival check-in hotel and later visit City Tour and a highlight today is a visit the famous 16th-century Kapaleeshwarar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, sacred to Tamil Shivaties. # Day 15 Chennai - Tirupati - Chennai - same day excursion

Early morning same day drive to Tirupati for Bala ji temple Darshan & in the evening drive back to Chennai. ( Note : No guide at Tirupati )

Situated in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, Tirupati is known for Lord Venkateshwara Temple, one of the most visited pilgrimage centers in the world. It is also one of the world's richest temples known by different names - Tirumala Temple, Tirupati Temple, and Tirupati Balaji Temple. Tirumala is one of the seven hills in Tirupati, where the main temple is located. The temple is believed to be where Lord Venkateshwara took the form of an idol and is home to the deity Govinda.
