On day 1, you are welcome to the city of Bangalore. This lush cosmopolitan is a thriving metropolis with strong IT sector and people who live life king size. The atmosphere is always buzzing in Bangalore and the moment you set foot in the city, you are enamored by it. We can’t think of a better place to begin your South India Vacation tour. Upon your arrival to Bangalore airport, you will meet our official representative who will transfer you straight to your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle where you can check in and relax for the remaining day.

As a gentle introduction to the city, we have arranged you to relax in the lap of nature on this day. A morning city tour is planned for you where you will be escorted to the lovely Lal Bagh, a beautiful sprawling garden with old trees, tropical and sub-tropical plants, enchanting lotus pools and a number of terraces. There is no better introduction for you to ‘the garden city’ as people call Bangalore. On this day you will also see the Maharaja’s Palace and government buildings. Overnight stay is in Bangalore.

Wake up early and pack your bags for Anantapur. It will be a scenic ride to the town that is the southernmost district of the Rayalaseema region located to the west of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The city has undebatable cultural and political roots since centuries. Upon arriving at Anantapur, you will be checked into the ashram. Rest of the day is free and at your leisure. Relax and unwind at the ashram as you have a great day ahead.

On the 4th day of your South India Vacation tour, you can spend the entire day doing whatever you want. Visit the city and see what all Anantapur has to offer to it’s tourists. For those wanting to do nothing can use the vacant hours to read or explore the life of the ashram. The Anantapur Museum is worth visiting if you have few hours to kill. There is an ISKCON Temple in Anantapur you can visit. The beautiful architecture and calming ambience is a wonderful way to spend your free day. Overnight is at the ashram.

This day is an extension of the previous day. It is completely at your leisure so relax, enjoy the ashram life or take a stroll around town to witness the southern life up close. In a nutshell, day at service. Overnight stay is at the ashram.

We are returning back to where it all started – Bangalore. Welcome back to ‘the garden city’. Your morning is free. In the afternoon you will start your journey back to the city. Enjoy the scenic ride from Anantapur to Bangalore. Check in at the hotel and relax. If you want to explore the city then go to the pubs, Bangalore is swarming with them. Bangalore’s nightlife is well known and infuse some of that electrifying vibe into your vacation. Overnight stay is at Bangalore.

On day 7, you will be escorted to Mysore. Throughout your 3.5 hour drive you will see some beautiful panoramic views for which South India is so famous for. Thick forests, wildlife makes the drive even more interesting. Mysore is a cultural religious hub in Karnataka and holds pivotal place in South India’s history. Not only will you see mesmerizing architecture but this is a chance to truly witness history in a life size form. The palace, markets, temples are centuries old and still retain that old-world charm many try to recapture. Overnight stay is at Mysore.

After having a hearty breakfast, begin your morning with a visit to the palace of the Maharaja that was built in 1911-12. This imposing structure is the heart of Mysore city and is a magnificent sight to behold in the evenings when it is all alit with millions of lights. The palace is an outstanding blend of Hindu and Saracenic styles of architecture. Post this you will visit the art gallery, followed with a drive upto Chamundi hill to see Chamundeshwari Temple and a breath-taking view of Mysore. On the way back, see the Nandi Bull. After exploring Mysore the previous day, on this day you will make a move for Hassan. This almost 3-hour road trip will take you through a scenic route dotted with typical South Indian villages and lovely vistas. Enroute you will visit Sravanbelgola, a small settlement strewn with centuries old temples. At Sravanbelgola, hewn out of a single rock and visible from a distance of 25 kms is the statue of Lord Gomteshwara which is bathed with milk and honey every 12 years. Check into the hotel. Halebid was the regal capital of the Hoysala empire and home to some of the finest examples of Hoysala architecture. In Hoysaleswara and Kedareswara temples you see the brilliance of Hindu Hoysala art. The Chenna Kesava temple of Belur built 900 years ago have carving of Puranas. Both Belur and Halebid in Hassan district of Karnataka are being proposed as UNESCO world heritage sites. Overnight stay in Hassan.

This day is all about travelling. You will leave Hassan behind and go deeper south towards the town of Hospet. Part of Ballari district in central Karnataka, located on the Tungabhadra river, Hospet is in touching distance with the medieval city of Vijayanagara, former capital of the Vijayanagara empire. This lovely route comprising of 6.5 hours will see you through some of the most charming sights in Southern India. Upon reaching Hospet, check into the hotel. Overnight stay in Hospet.

We have an enlightening day saved for you ahead. On 12th day of your South India Vacation tour, you will be taken to the world heritage site, Hampi, only 12 kms from Hospet. This once beautiful capital city of Vijayanagara empire, said to be greater than Rome, had marvelous palaces, temples & sculptures that were later razed to the ground by the Sultanates of South in 1565. The ruins that are left are a window into the past, hinting at the grandeur of those times. Remaining Virupaksha, Vittala & Hazara Rama temples, huge Ganesha and Narasimha images, the elephant stables, the queen’s bath and carvings on the Ramachandra temple & lotus mahal are all there is left of Vijayanagara empire. Overnight stay is at Hospet.

Against the rocky landscape of sandstone hills baked with sun is the town of Badami. Your 3-hour trip from Hospet to Badami will take up the entire morning, leaving you free for sightseeing from afternoon. Badami, also known as Vatapi is a centuries old town imprinted with distinct Hindu and Jain culture. Some of the carved temples dates back to the 6th century and are sculpted out of solid rock adorned with carvings. For history buffs, Badami would be an adventure. The Malegitti Shivalaya temple set on the summit of a hill is built of stones without mortar, an architectural accomplishment. Overnight in Badami.

From the rocky cliffs of Badami we drive you down to the party central, Goa. As your trip is coming to an end, this last leg of your tour will send you off with style. You leave from Badami to take this 5.5-hour road trip, bringing you close to the shore and to a town that is well known for it’s fun party vibe. Goa is a seaside town stretching along the Arabian Sea with it’s long history as a Portuguese colony, evident in beautiful 17th century churches and area’s tropical spice plantations. Upon reaching Goa, check in to your hotel, order yourself a few drinks and chill out. Overnight in Goa.

This is the final day of your South India Vacation tour. Your morning will be filled with sightseeing as we will escort you to explore Old Goa with it’s charming centuries old churches. The Basilica of Bom Jesus, built in 16th century is one of the most popular churches in Goa. Also take this chance to admire St Cathedral, Church of St Francis of Assisi, St Cajetan Church, Church of Lady Rosary and Nunnery of St Monica. After your sightseeing tour you will be shuttled to the airport where you will board your flight to return home.
